Hello and welcome to The BT Better World Campaign Education Wiki.
This wiki has been created to gather ideas for BT's future Manchester Communication Academy which is due to open in 2010.
We want to hear your ideas as to what techniques can be applied to improve student’s education in the 21st Century. With the advances in technology there are huge opportunities in giving students not just more, but easier access to information, resources and different ways of learning.
We want opinions, comments, findings, ideas and suggestions from anyone whether you are a teacher, student, parent, technology expert, business person or just someone reminiscing about how things could have been better when you were at school.
We also want to hear any ideas you have about how the Academy could be run, how the building and class rooms could be designed to encourage positive, effective learning. How not only teachers could be used to run lessons and courses but how other professionals could contribute.
Do we need to confine learning to one location?
Can we find new courses that encourage students to learn independently in a field of their choice?
We look forward to seeing what ideas you have and hoping to make them a reality in the not too distant future.
